Would love to see Bernadette play the Witch again! Perhaps have the chance to play it a bit funnier like she had wanted to do.

Thanks for posting! I hope they stick pretty close to the original script and music. However, I would like for Bernadette to sing "Our Little World."
It would be great if Bernadette and Martin Short could do the movie together. They would be able to work off each other really well. Plus, this sounds like a good project for her after she ends her 2012 concert series.

Ooh, exciting! I hope they don't make poor casting choices, like with Les Miserables... it would be awesome if Bernadette played the witch again; not sure how likely and I'm not holding my breath, but it would be exciting.

Yeah, I heard a rumor about Mme. Thenardier in Les Mis going to Helena Bonham Carter? To me that was a no-brainer for Bernadette, esp. after seeing what she's done with things like Karen's sister in Will & Grace, and her stint on Ugly Betty. That kind of bats*** crazy dark comedy is wonderful for her. The witch can be any old age, they need to let Bernadette do it. I might not watch it with somebody else. Maybe on netflix or if it comes streaming on Amazon Prime, but I wouldn't buy it on DVD or pay money to see it in a theatre without Bernadette.

I really hope Bernadette will be able to reprise her role as the Witch, especially with 2012 being the 25th anniversary of the original Broadway production. It would be cool if Stephen Sondheim could narrate.
I'm with you, Ripley. I doubt I'll buy it on DVD if Bernadette isn't in it.
