(Not to mention Tony-eligibility and maybe even a recording.)
(And assuming that Bernadette does indeed play Sally on Broadway.)

| posted: 6/16/2011 at 3:38:43 PM ET I'm so excited! I though I'd never get a chance to see her, since I live in Norway.
But I'm going to New York in October
I'm so happy!

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 6/19/2011 at 7:38:42 PM ET I'm still coming down from my 6-week adventure into the Kennedy Center. Gathering my thoughts, but quickly: the final performance was, well, the normal. By that I mean nothing unusual happened, no ad-libs or otherwise.
I finally saw what Bernadette has come to in one brief moment-after Ben's The Road I Didn't Take, Sally says "I think I loved him once"..this has evolved from very early kind of Sally's flirtatious, teasing, to today's somewhat tentative, almost confessional, somewhat oh-my-what-am-I-saying. Interesting to see how Bernadette has changed this small scene, significantly. After Ben and Sally sing "Don't Look At Me", they start to dance--today (and yesterday's matinee), Ben folds her and his hand into his chest and Sally tucks her head under his chin (if you can picture this, it is quite romantic and lots sexy). Different from the almost "pure" dance position Ben and Sally took ealrier in the run.
At bows, Bernadette came out holding a red rose...where were the flowers for the other ladies?? Normal bows/cheers, nothing special, although the cast seemed to pay special attention to the orchestra.
At the stage door (the first time for me), about 30 people. I have some pics of Bernadette, one of Linda L and husband Steve (a real sweetie, by the way), will post in a few days.
The entire cast seemed to be going somewhere, possibly a party? No one had suitcases! (Bernadette got into her limo with 2 young kids, maybe 12-13, do not know whose they were.)

Bernadette apparantly has a ton of god children. I think I remember reading in an article - 19 or 16 or something like that. Do a few live in the DC area and maybe were at the final performance and going to the party? Or maybe just one and a friend. And maybe for a treat they got to go with Bernadette in the limo? Just a thought.
