I'm not going to link all the reviews. Do a google search or check out All That Chat or Broadway World but the reviews were overwelmingly raves. Of the major publications, only one (The Wall Street Journal) was an out and out pan. The New York Times was a definite mixed reviews. I see it as mixed to positive, others don't agree. Every other major reviews were just complete raves. Congratulations to Bernadette and Elaine and the entire cast. This critic's opinion is definitely a rave. Go and see it if you haven't already. You will not regret it.

Great pictures on Getty Images. Would love to know what the laughing is about in the second picture.

So nice to see wonderful (and well deserved) reviews.

I second Moljul's recommendation - go see the show. Think this is one of those shows and pairings that will be talked about for years to come. I just hope (pretty please!) that PBS will decide to record this for Great Performances.

The only thing I know is that the telecharge site says cast after November 7 TBD (To Be Determined).

I saw this show on August 4, matinee. Not to be too much of a fan girl, I'll just say that every bit of praise that Bernadette has received is well-earned; she is by turns funny, poignant, wistful, thoughtful, heart-breaking, (and very much of a grown-up facing life). This is the most perfect casting of her that I think I've seen in a long time. And, THE song is simply perfection, including the entire scene.

WOW.

Forgive me, I'm bored. Does anyone else find Bernadette squealing like a little girl at the beginning of this video extremely funny? Or am I just ... bored.

Saw the show again yesterday and it was even better than the first time...can't wait to go back for a 3rd visit.

BTW...they now have a new program which includes Bernadette and Elaine. The guy said they've had them about a week.

I got the chance to see the show on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised! I have to admit, I was not really that excited for A Little Night Music- I'm just not in love with the story but of course had to see it because of Bernadette. I had not doubt she'd blow me away and she did! Elaine was also incredible and I just loved watching her face throughout the show. We waited at the stage door and had a great time. I absolutely loved this theater- it's beautiful. I am now looking forward to Follies in my neck of the woods!

BTW...does anyone know how to record these online video clips so that they can be saved on a cd or dvd? I'm at a loss on how it can be done.

Lovely interview, thanks for posting! These two ladies really do appear to like each other, that must be a comfort. I do wish Bernadette had the chance to speak for herself a few times, and I wish that she had not been placed in an awkward position about Follies. One thing that I came away with: Elaine sets up a story very well, and Bernadette actually listens.

(No, I am not the one to answer your question about recording)
