Odd timing for running the feature, but more personal than usual

"Peters has been waiting to be fitted for a couple of dresses Bob Mackie is designing for her Aug. 16 concert at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts."

Oooh! Does that mean new dresses? I'm going to that concert, I guess we'll see.

Nice interview, odd timing as you said though.

For those who don't have the print version, the color photo that's online is actually on the front of the Arts & Music section and takes up half the page with the following: "Always glowing. For Bernadette Peters, a rich career has had its fill of valleys as well as peaks. But Charles McNulty learns that despite heartache, her spirit remains undimmed." Inside there's another color photo that takes up 1/3 of the page with a closeup of Peters performing at the Men Alive concert, another color photo of her as Rose and a b&w of her and Patinkin in SITPWG.
