That beautiful picture of Bernadette and Jenna speaks absolute volumes of the unselfish and unegocentric spirit of Bernadette Peters.
Who else would do that?
"There’s a lot in the world for us to turn our attention to — helping people, helping animals, and helping animals help people." ... Bernadette Peters, August, 2007
^trust me. i will be taking loads of pictures. i have these binoculars that have a built in camera, so im hoping for some good quality ones of her on stage. they are pretty neat. although i bought them for this event so ive never used them before. but i have my camera also. no worries!

"let me entertain you. let me make you smile"
I would REALLY like to know exactly what these two are talking about in this picture!
"Particular mention must be made of Bernadette Peters, who turns up briefly in a sort of sparkly Glinda the Good costume. She's the reluctant muse sent to help Alice with her writing. The muse is dressed like Oz, sounds like Queens and behaves like a bored student adviser." Alice Film Review, The New York Times, December 25, 1990
"I'm one star away from Dolly Parton ... and Raymond Massey is between us. I hope we don't suffocate him." Bernadette Peters receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, April 24, 1987
"Thank heavens all those cameras have gone ... now, COME HERE missy!"

Maybe Jenna peed BP off by saying " I bought your record when I was a child" ....
and here's the proof, for those who may be interested ... a Jenna Russel London Theatre Radio podcast from 2006 when the West End production was in full swing. She mentions being a "teenager" and buying the original cast album of SITPWG. It's a really interesting interview. I always wondered why she gave Dot a very northern British accent. Apparently, so did Mr Sondheim.
