I just got back from seeing Bernadette at the Disney Concert Hall and she was splendid as usual. She even made use of the hall's organ with a nice Sweeney Todd organ intro to "Johanna".

I can't remember the song list (she did her 90 minute set I think,) but it was pretty much what she normally does. I really liked the Shenandoah rendition (almost a capella, with only a harmonica accompaniment.) The only new song I noticed was "When You Wish Upon a Star/A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and then at the very end she did her "Kramer's Song" which I have to say is quite lovely and touching, and pretty damn good for a first songwriting try (and she gave a little plug for the book, that you can pre-order it from Amazon.com, but most people on this board probably already have done that.) Oh and she did the little selling her house bit too, but it was so nonchalant you could miss it if you weren't paying attention.

She started in good voice, but she got stronger nearer the end and nailed Rose's Turn (I'd only seen her do it on the Tonys and I think she might have topped that.) Lots of standing ovations.

Yeah she was wonderful tonight. Really strong voice. Fabulous show.

I didn't take any pix of the concert or Bernadette, I couldn't find the stage door and was too chicken to ask.

Yeah the stage door was really hard to find tonight. So many doors it was so confusing.

Great show tonight- I had not seen her do a solo show since the last time she was in CA, and was really happy with the combination of "old" and new in the program. Her voice sounded great, especially with a bunch of power numbers at the end (Move On, Being Alive, Rose's Turn)- a magical night (and the acoustics at the Disney Hall really can't be beat!)

Stage Door was a hard thing to find- no one seemed to know what was going on in terms of which stage door was which!

As always, she was so gracious about signing and posing for the few of us who managed to figure out where to be!

A magical night- wish she was playing here a few more times!

By any chance, do you remember any of the lyrics?

Not exactly, but it was a song sung to a dog (or a child), a lullaby. I don't remember any of the rhyme sequences, but there was something about "I'll send you moonbeams" and "I'll be here when you wake." She rhymed words like "wish" and "bliss" and stuff, but I don't remember the exact words, sorry.

It was a very sweet song though.
