She basically started off by talking about the Tony Awards and how she lost a Harry Winston earring going down an escalator and luckily it was later found five floors down. Kelly then mentioned Broadway Barks, when it was and what its about and some dogs were brought out. Kelly and bernadette got on their knees and were feeding and petting the dogs as they went to commercial.

I don't think she lost them down an escalator but in between some floor cracks backstage at Radio City. The floor boards open a great deal because of all the hydraulic lifts. I'm interested in going back to look at my Tony tape to see if the earrings were lost before she went on the air or after. She never gave the price of the earrings but said the ring she was wearing was worth $850K!!!
I'm wondering if the guy sitting next to her was her guard or if she brought a guest as well.
Just wanted to mention that I know Tyson. I volunteer at the ASPCA and he is such a sweetheart. They tried to save his leg through a couple of operations but in the end could not save it. But he does get around just fine. Walks on the leash, jumps around, etc. Beautiful boy too! I had to laugh at the puppy and Bernadette's efforts to show how smart she was for only 7 weeks and knew so many tricks. Just like a little kid, when the parents want them to perform in public, they don't. Though she did sit and give Bernadette a baby high 5.

Has Tyson found any potential homes since the show aired? I love a good dog story.

| posted: 7/11/2007 at 11:35:28 AM ET Well since the show aired just a little over 24 hours ago and I haven't been to the ASPCA since Sunday, I don't really know Tyson fate at this moment. But I'm sure there were at least several calls about him after the show. And hey, maybe Kelly Ripa decided to adopt him.

Thanks for the video-very nice to see.

| posted: 7/12/2007 at 11:07:17 AM ET I taped it and watched it last night. It was not a good segment. Mary is not quite as adept at plugging the event as Bernadette - though I also think Bernadette gets a lot more practice - she wasn't as smooth in the first couple of years of Broadway Barks as she is now. But Mary's somewhat lack of experience and The Views terrible production values kind of blew the chance to promote the event. Just my humble opinion of course.

Can anyone else hear Bernadette singing "I'll steal you, Johanna, I'll steal you"? ... that little pup is so adorable! I love the way Bernadette tries to get the puppy to do tricks ... but see how Johanna is already eating the treat from BP's hand ... so, no chance.
My dog groomer rescued a three-legged poodle called "Rush". She named him "Rush" because he rushes about everywhere ... having a leg amputated isn't a big deal when you have three others to spare. I hope Tyson finds a loving home.
as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....
