So, I was just watching an episode of the King of Queens. It began with 'Doug,' the main guy watching a Yankees game and the announcer says something like, "Here's a big Broadway Star, Bernadette Peters!" and 'Doug' responds something like "She certainly turns on the heat."
It was super cute. I thought you'd all appreciate it.
ah- our lovely Bernadette.

I believe I've heard other mentions in t.v. episodes before. Can anyone recall any?

That sounds so cute futuremamarose87. Do you rememeber what that King Of Queens episode was called by any chance?

And one an episode of The Nanny, Niles (the butler) was writing a play and Fran and Niles needed help. So they tried to get a hold of Bernadette's Agent but she never appeared on the show sadly. But they did mention her one or two times. If I remember correctly the show was called "The Producers". I'm pretty sure that's what is was called.

Based on TBS.com's schedule it's entitled "Shear Torture."

I did actually see that episode of The Nanny.

Also, the episode of Will & Grace where Jack comes running in with excitement saying he tore out one of Bernadette Peters' hairs and he's holding a long red curly chunk of hair. He was trying to create some kind of Broadway diva wig or something

I love that episode! It's with Patti LuPone! Jack's trying to complete his Broadway diva wig (he already has Bernadette Peters, Idina Menzel, and Betty Buckley) all he needs is Patti. But Will is feeling neglected, so he takes him to this restaurant and Patti LuPone shows up. It's really funny. She asks Jack if he wouldn't mind if she sang and he turns around and says "Shut up Patti LuPone! shut your Brassy Magnificent trap!"

There is also the episode (as I'm sure you all know) with Bernadette where she plays Karen's sister Gin. It's one of my favorites.
