She really does do everything, doesn't she?

Interesting that she doesn't seem to like touring, or being away from home; I guess it is lonely out there.
That Key Largo event disappeared quickly from her calendar, I think it's probably a private concert of some sort. (Ocean Reef Cultural Center, Jan. 27)

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 1/24/2007 at 8:53:37 AM ET I looked up Ocean Reef and it sounded like it was a very swanky private club. I think that upcoming concert (Saturday night) is just for the members/residents. She performed for them at least once before, a couple of years ago.
Jean, it's possible that she's writing the music as well as the lyrics. A lullaby implies that it's fairly simple. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm very curious.

She pretty much says that her first impetus for writing the song herself is so that she could guarantee that all of the proceeds would go directly to the animal shelter.

I wonder which dog she means? The boy or the girl?

Thank you for finding this, Karen.

Oh say, here's the story--the little dog --or pig--that was saved, grew into a strong and courageous big dog--or a pig--, and then....
ok too early

===
"Dearest Darling Stella,
You enrich my life 10 fold! When I'm away from you there is a big void that I feel, making me realize how healing having pets are! Thank you for that!
Your kindness to little dogs when you crawl up to them to kiss them is another part of your personality that is a wonder!
I know you were abused when you were little - but the choice you have made to be kind and loving makes me very proud.
Thank you for all the love you give everyone!
oxox
Bernadette"

It reinforces my own belief that these special creatures who enter our lives as our pets are free-thinking little individuals, each and every one.
