"Though Peters has been doing the orchestra concerts for a while, it's something she still enjoys at this point in her career.
"You have a full orchestra with lush violins that play so well," Peters said. "And you have orchestrations that really lend themselves to Rodgers and Hammerstein."
While she may be spending a lot of time with orchestras lately, that's not all she has been doing. She's been looking at scripts. And she said a new CD might be on the horizon.
In the meantime, Peters is exploring new music and guest starring on shows like "Law & Order SVU."
She plays a lawyer on an episode to air on Nov. 28. That's not typecasting, and that's the point. After finding success in so many aspects of performing, she's always looking for opportunities that push her artistically.
"I'm always really stretching, always really looking," Peters said. "I keep wanting to be as good as I can be every time I sing or act." "
Thanks so much for finding this, PTM--it's great that she did an interview, I think she used to do them quite a bit and maybe we'll start seeing them again.

"Looking at scripts" is very exciting. So, would that be referring to film work do you think?

Good question--with Bernadette so active in all phases of the business, I'd guess that the scripts are, in order of importance and number: 1) stage 2) television 3) film.
By importance I mean--a major role in a major stage play (could be musical); by number I mean several stage plays versus maybe one or two tv or movie scripts. All of this is the wildest speculation as I know nothing.
The more I write the more confused I get. Back to the film documentary "Grey Gardens", which probably explains everything about why my mind is so muddled right now.
