I clipped this review from the Post. Thought it right on point re: Bernadette's performance -- except I was at the Sunday matinee.

* First time at Strathmore -- lovely hall.
* BP was in fine voice, even better than last fall in Norfolk.
* Afternoon (read: old) audience was rather sedate, I thought; for example, no catcalls or much else with "Fever"
* Favorite line: Off the piano and back on solid ground after "Fever": A subtle, little "That was enjoyable."
* Reaction of audience members (like the lady next to me) not as familiar with BP in concert: Their astonishment at how wonderful she is as a performer; seeing them discover her, and remembering what that feels like (and did again Sunday).
* On the other hand, the couple in front of me on the stairs who didn't get the sweater and shoes change for "Rose's Turn."
* Her "With So Little to Be Sure Of" means so much to me right now. (Thanks, BP.)
*Thanks to all who added photos of the concert. I took my camera and long lens, but got nabbed by the usher police, and couldn't stay to see her come out the stage door (glad I didn't wait until 5). Muchly appreciated.

SOA, scores of elderly concertgoers were bused in for the concert. I have no idea where they were from.

I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet. I hope things turn around for you. Take care.
