From: New York City | posted: 2/13/2006 at 11:28:51 AM ET First I just want to say how fun it was to meet Mandy, PAFan, SisterRose, ANH...um, I think I'm forgetting someone.... getting home was an adventure.. all buses to NY were cancelled as of 12:30am, so me and my friend Megen ended up taking a train to Philly at 5:45am in order to get back to New York! I walked into my apartement door at 11:30 Sunday morning! By that time, it was like 'why did I go to AC?! oh, right, Bernadette - and what did she look like, what did she sing?' It seemed like the concert was weeks ago! But it was so great, she sounded amazing!! Well worth the craziness :-)

| posted: 2/13/2006 at 3:03:05 PM ET Ashley, that was a pretty hysterical post. I'm sorry you ended up "missing" Bernadette's concert. And what an obnoxious guy you were near. I was actually quite surprised how great the audience was. They seemed to be really into her. I was afraid a show in a casino, with many of the people being comped, would not be the best audience but I thought they were quite enthusiastic and she got 3 standing ovations. Though I'm thinking some of the unusual enthusiasm came from the fact that there was a higher concentration of heterosexual males in the audience compared to her other concerts. Nothing Like a Dame and Fever were VERY WELL received with lots of, um, well, the only way I can describe it is "Cat Calls".

| posted: 2/13/2006 at 5:18:18 PM ET Yes, I think the incredibly rude man was the anomaly of the evening. Everyone else seemed to love her. Even "snoring Ethel" seemed mesmerized.......hence, the open mouth and drool. But seriously, the audience did seem to really enjoy her and I think she responded to that. From what I remember, she was very upbeat and almost giddy, jumping around, making jokes, etc. So, I think it is safe to say that we can chalk the drunk redneck up to nothing more than the subject of Jeff Foxworthy's next redneck joke. The audience did seem really entranced with her.

From: NYC | posted: 2/13/2006 at 6:00:35 PM ET Just remembering: As I said in my report, Bernadette was incredibly loose on the stage - her banter was easy and she seemed relaxed. When she was talking about Marvin she told about his musical he was writing with Joel Paley - this time she called it "Guess Who's Coming to Seder" and Cubby did the drum/cymbal follow-up and they got a big laugh.
Do I really have to wait until May to see her again? Better start the countdown: T Minus 74 days, 18 hours....

Although it would have denied us the amusing anecdotes, I'm wondering if you guys could have asked to have your seats changed, assuming there were any empty seats. And for those who might remember more than the first three songs, where did she put My Romance / The Way You Look Tonight and My Funny Valentine?

From: NYC | posted: 2/14/2006 at 10:11:54 AM ET Regarding, moving closer: we were prepared to tip the maitre'd and told her so...as the concert was beginning she came by and asked us if we wanted to move but it was only in front of the soundbooth and wasn't that much better so we opted not to spend our money. The pictures and films are deceiving - we were closer than it appears in them - and also since we are all right in front at Avery Fisher Hall we decided not worry about it.
And YES SHE DID SOUND INCREDIBLE!

| posted: 2/14/2006 at 2:30:55 PM ET LOL It must have been at the other end of the bar. Did anyone else get little chocolate hearts from the bartender? I got two but my friend didn't get any (we went up seperately to be sure no one else was seated in our seats). Maybe the bartender just liked me more.

| posted: 2/14/2006 at 4:20:41 PM ET LOL Well clearly I was the bartender's only sweetheart that night. I mean they were clearly Valentine's Day candy - hearts made of chocolate wrapped in red foil. He poured my drink and then plopped two hearts down next to them and gave me a smile. So I missed the CDs but didn't miss the candy!
