I decided to start a new thread since the last one was getting so long. Our new total is $1,030 which places us in the "Grand Benefactor" status. If you still plan on sending me a check, please do it as soon as possible. I need to have all of the checks by April 20th.
If you have any questions, please PM me. Thanks to everyone who has donated! If I receive more checks and our total changes, I will post a new amount.
Also, we still need to come up with a "title" for our group. I think only one person posted a suggestion. We need to have something before I send in the checks. Personally, I do not want to be the one responsible for choosing a title, so start throwing out some ideas or vote for one previously mentioned!
Here is the one Jean came up with:
"Fanadettes: The Unofficial Internet Fans of Bernadette Peters (www.bernadette-peters.com) and Friends To All The Animals"
In addition, I was told that depending upon the total number of boosters, we may have our individual names included as well. If you sent me a donation and do not want your name included, please let me know that as well.

I just received an email saying that the date has been finalized and Broadway Barks 7 will be held on July 30th!

The "from" inscription--as long as it's ok with Kevin to use the web site name--I can't come up with anything else, although I've been playing around with some others.
And let me add my appreciation to Mandy--great job in collecting AND in keeping us informed! Your reward should be: one Calico kitten and a beagle puppy.

I think this is a great thing you all are doing.
If I can get the idea across with my parents I'll try to send Broadway Barks a donation as well.

FYI: The original date that I was told the checks needed to be in to Broadway Barks was May 1st. Since the date for the event has been pushed back a few weeks, I can accept donations now through May 15. If anyone else is interested, just PM me and I will send my contact information.
Also, and this is just a suggestion. I really like Jean's "from" message but was wondering if we should take out the "unofficial" part of the message...just so it doesn't sound like we are "unofficial fans." Quite frankly, I think we are VERY official! Just a thought. I will go with whatever the consensus is on this one.

I just wanted to post a final total of what was raised for Broadway Barks.
Our grand total is $1110! We've officially reached "Grand Benefactor" status.
I will be mailing in the checks early next week. If, by chance, there is anyone else interested in donating, PM me no later than Friday afternoon. If I don't hear back from anyone, I will assume our donation is complete and I will mail it off to Broadway Barks with our names and our "title."

Hi Guys, I have a suggestion for the name that is along the same lines as Jean's:
Bernadette Peters Fans (www.Bernadette-peters.com) and Friends to All the Animals.
It leaves it general enough to encompass the fact that we are all fans and still gives credit to Kevin's website. The word "internet" implies, to me, a limited fan base (does the term Fanadettes suggest an official group? It's cute, but it sounds kind of official). But that's just my opinion. I love the rest of it. Well done, Jean! :-) I hope this message didn't offend anyone. I'm just throwing my suggestions out there as I know Mandy needs to send in the official word next week.

Now that you mention it, it does seem like a good idea to make the name as general and as inclusive as possible.

I mailed the checks and they have been received by the organizer of BB. Our final total was $1110. Since there was some discussion at the last minute about the "title" for our group and to make it more inclusive I went with the following:
"Fans of Bernadette Peters (www.bernadette-peters.com) and Friends To All The Animals"
Since I never got a final agreed upon title, I had to make an executive decision. Hope it is ok with everyone. I dont think the title matters all that much...just the fact that we were able to raise so much money!!!
