According to Newsday, Bernadette and Mandy Patinkin have joined for a CD that accompanies a new book based upon Christopher Reeve's fight against paralysis. Some of our librarian friends will have to check this out and try and get some more information!

"BERNADETTE PETERS and Mandy Patinkin dazzled Broadway more than 20 years ago in "Sunday in the Park With George." Now Mandy and Bernadette reunite for a special children's CD, "Dewey Doo-It Helps Owlie Fly Again." This is a lighthearted but touching musical adventure (accompanied by a 32-page picture book) based on actor Christopher Reeve's valiant life and struggle with paralysis. The CD also features a song by Reeve's wife, Dana. Royalties from the record go to the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation.

Speaking of Peters, she remains an eternal Kewpie doll of sex appeal. At Jennifer Lopez's steamy fashion show last month, Peters looked like one of the few women who could fit into and get away with some of La Lopez's more outre creations."

You talking to me? I'll see what I can find when I get to work. I haven't seen any reviews-probably next month.

Projects like this make me respect Bernadette even more, if possible. And Mandy P., too.

Sorry, Jenn, couldn't resist!:

I didn't find anything that would really interest anyone. I don't think this is going to get added to our collection right now.

I tried to order this before but the website links didn't really seem to follow-thru. Has anybody else received their copy? I would love to give it to my niece and nephew and the songs are nice to boot. And I did attempt to get a "ticket" for Good Morning America the day that they will be there promoting the book but they are booked up. Argh. Anyway its all good cause I'm NOT a morning person and you have to get to the studio in Times Sq by 6:30 a.m. YUCK! (How is BP going to get there that early?!?!)

LOL I assure you, Bernadette will not be getting to the studio at 6:30. I'm sure that is for the audience. And usually the "celebrity" segements are in the last hour of the show so they can come a little later.

Now I'm tempted to go standing by the Times Sq Studio stage door to clock her in...
