But you know what,Sister Rose-I'm going to stop that. You're thinking talk shows,I'm thinking Emmy shows! Who knows-this could have the comedy of Seinfeld,the popularity of Friends,and the fashion sense of Sex and the City. The new must see TV. Except that's NBC's thing,I think.

The only problem is that I can't quite wrap my arms around "Mrs. Leaf" breaking into song.

Well while we would all like to see a series with Bernadette as the center, I think we do have to acknowledge that the adopted son is the focus.

Yeah I'm definately going. I can't give up this opportunity especially since they are taping it like 15 minutes away from where I live. I'll report back. I ordered the tickets yesterday. I can't wait to see the publicity if the show gets picked up.

I know we can all agree that Bernadette has not had the best luck with material when it comes to films, but I for one would love to see this turn into something big for her. Imagine, A brilliant pilot tuns into a hit show that yields a top box office comedy. It would be great. I think Hollywood was made for stars like her. Why else would they put her star right in front of the Egyptian theater!

I remember seeing that when i was like 5! On in the middle of the day while i was off with tonsilitus. very vague memory of it so can't tell you much. I was like " its mary poppins, its maria!". Maybe they just put it on in england. I'm sooo excited about this!!! Maybe she will become mainstream -FINALLY!!!

This is Kevin Wheatley, I'm playing Lloyd Leaf on "Adopted". I was just googling the show and got this forum. Very excited to have Bernadette playing my mom. Glad to see she has such a loyal fan base. Wish us luck with the show, it's got a great script.

"Kevin Wheatley is about to start shooting a comedy pilot for ABC called "Adopted". He'll play a man trying to juggle his adopted and biological families.
Wheatley says, veteran stage and screen star Bernadette Peters has signed on to play his "crazy" adoptive mom.
Production of "Adopted" begins March 23 at Fox Studios."
