I'm looking for one more show to see when I come for Avery Fisher Hall. I already have tickets to The Drowsy Chaperone and Sarah Plain and Tall. Does anyone have any suggestions for other shows Broadway or Off-Broadway. Thanks.

It depends on what you like. If you like the more lighthearted stuff, I would go with Spelling Bee or Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Both are absolutely fabulous and completely hilarious!

I don't know what you like, so I'll say what I would do. I like to have some variety, so I would go to see the New York City Ballet. (Full disclosure--I grew up watching this company and loved ballet before theater/opera/movies.)

But if it's theater for you, I'd second Sweeney Todd. In your lifetime, you simply MUST see every Sondheim play that you possibly can, and certainly as many different productions as you can. (Listen to Mama...

My choices for you:
1. I repeat - Sweeney Todd
2. Go to Carnegie Hall and see Audra McDonald at 8:00 pm on Saturday night April the 29th
3. See what's on at the Metropolitan Opera - it's an unmatchable experience

And do listen to Mama Jean - she knows whereof she speaks...

I really enjoyed Bridge & Tunnel. Yes, Sweeney Todd is fabu! I hear I Love You Because is great, but I haven't seen it. And a friend of mine just saw Well and she liked it very much. And keep in mind you can probably get student seats for the majority of the shows you want to see.

I just saw "The Drowsy Chaperone" last night, Rose. If you like fun, happy musicals, you will really like it. It's SO good.
