For those in the Florida area, it looks like Marvin and Joal Paley's new musical will be performed at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts January 27, 28.

Just wanted to report back that I attended this concert version of Jewsical: The Chosen Musical last Friday night. I didn't see anyone else from this board there. Sorry if I missed you.
Anyway, the evening was only about 45 minutes long and was essentially a showcase of several of the songs and some of the background of this show as its about to start playing at various Florida venues.
It was quite funny with some songs being a big stronger than others but still a fun 45 minutes. It's a five person cast (2 women and 3 men) playing all the parts and I found it a little amusing that both women were red heads and one was even a curly red head. 
It had much of the same tongue-in-cheek humor of Ruthless! and I'm sure it will play well in Florida this time of year. 
Marvin and his writing partner Joel Paley were quite funny and I found it particularly amusing that Marvin sings along to all the group songs (he was accompanying everyone on the piano). I'm not sure if he is supposed to do that or if he does it unconsciously.

Thanks for the report. Your comment about Marvin singing along reminded me that when Bernadette used to sing Dedicated to the One I Love / Gee Whiz and Here I Am in concert, Marvin and/or Cubby I guess used to provide the backup vocals.

Bernadette... I'm glad "Jewsical the Chosen Musical" is back in a new incarnation.
You were nice enough to see "It's Bashert!" (the musical that's it's based on)when it premiered in FL back in 1997.
Oh, this is Phil. I co-wrote the book and lyrics for "Bashert" with Joel.
Can't wait to see a NYC production of it.
