I saw her new Judy Garland concert tonight. Let's just say it didn't spur me to buy the CD. I'm not much for traditional Judy songs, so that might explain it.

Did you guys know Linda and Frank Wildhorn divorced?

I remember reading about it not too long ago.

I think it's risky to take on a singer's catalogue of standards, especially someone like Judy Garland.

I adore both Judy and Linda, and I like Linda's new CD, but I am not going to see her at Carnegie Hall. I think that was a pretty bawlsy move on Linda's part. I wish her luck, but I just can't go.

The impression I get is that she's trying to recreate herself in this post-Wildhorn era. I hope it works for her.

As an aside, I suppose the divorce means the death of Camille Claudel coming to Broadway any time soon.

I was at the concert too. I really enjoy all of the Judy Garland songs, and I thought Linda did a great tribute to her, without trying to imitate her.

Maybe she is trying to recreate herself, but I'm not sure a tribute to someone else is the way to go about it.
