What was the movie in which Ms Peters sang Happy Days Are Here Again and cried at the same time?

I have no idea, but the most amazing version of this song ever is the Judy/Barbra duet "Happy Days are Here Again" combined with "Get Happy" I'm sure most of you have heard or seen it but for those who haven't it's a must see. If only these two could have performed together more. Wow.

Anon that is one of the best moments in television history, as discussed in an earlier thread on this board. Another great episode of The Judy Garland Show is the one with Merman as a guest star (though the Merm did make an appearance on the Streisand episode!)But Judy and Ethel did a friendship medley duet with some great spontaneous moments. These duets came out on a cd a few years ago called "Judy Duets" which also features a live Judy performance from 1952. I love the "Horray for Love" duet that she did with Streisand as well as Happy Days are Here Again.

There is also some great dialogue between Ethel and Judy. They were discussing Ethel's career and Ethel mentioned that her favorite moments were the duets, and Judy said with a sarcastically surprised look "Oh you did duets?" and Ethel said that she did but she sings so darn loud nobody could ever hear the other singer then "But they'll be able to hear you Judy, lets face it we're the last of the big belters" Then they started the awesome friendship medley. Great stuff, I'll have to watch this again soon.

Oooh I love the Merman episode but the Streisand episode is my fav!!! It doesn't get better than Garland, Streisand and Merman singing together and of course the "Happy Days are Here Again" duet. But I read that the Merman episode was taped just a couple weeks after the JFK assassination and that the final song "Battle Hymn of the Republic" was Judy's tribute to JFK (they were friends) and she had to sneak it in cuz the network didn't want her to be political. I can't believe they would do that?!?! I thought the whole country loved him and was greiving together. Judy also does the most beautiful soulful Shenandoah that I've ever heard on that episode. Hey what performance from 1952 are you talking about on that CD?!? Thanks!!
