I long ago gave up reading their postings. It's not a matter of divergent opinion because I welcome that. Talkinbroadway, Sondheim Stage and Broadway.com among others all have a wide range of opinions which makes them interesting. But the google musical theatre newsgroup is different. For one thing it's unmoderated so anyone can say anything no matter how crazed or obscene. Also it's completely dominated by a handful of very strange and nasty people who have a hatred of BP (and certain other performers) that seems to veer off into the obsessive. Any unwary newcomer to the site who tries to post something reasonable is met with a barrage of threats and ridicule-and no, I never even attempted it. As I said, I now avoid that group like the plague.

Those are the kind of people who are constantly miserable and angry at the world for something, so who even gives their messages creedance? I posted there because people were asking when BB4! was a few weeks ago. The "normal" people won't reply, but I'm sure they checked the pics out just the same.
