Oh, Bernadette you are without a doubt a star,
in the yankee doodle days of george they said you'd go far,
and all through the 70s with your hair so blond,
with variety shows aplenty americas hearts grew fond,
of course came the days of successful films and such,
which is why people all over the world to this day love you so much,
Sondheim placed you in his painting and woods of earthy truth,
then came more films and magazines- however you never grew uncouth!
The ninties travelled past with tv movies gained,
and with your potrayel of sharp shootin' annie our memories were stained,
and to this day we remain amazed at what you always do,
and it is time you officially knew - Ms Peters WE LOVE YOU!!
