Bwaybaby was telling me last night (and thank you, btw, you've always got the first word on this stuff!!) that Tom Wopat is leaving 42nd Street. (And here I didn't even know that he was in it! lol.) Has anyone seen him in the show? Anyone planning on seeing him before he leaves?
Second, on Playbill.com there's an article about Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick returning to The Producers in December for a three month stint. I've seen the show, but not with them in it. Has anyone here had the privelege of seeing them? If so, how were they? I was thinking of maybe trying to get tickets.

Regis: And look at all this hair. My God. That's a lot of hair. Look at this. How does hair get this way?
Bernadette: Um.. it sort of grew out of my head like this.

| posted: 8/6/2003 at 9:42:14 PM ET According to NY1 Nathan and Matthew are returning in January, not December; and tickets to see them may be going on sale next week. I don't know which is correct (playbill or NY1)?

If you can get tickets, DO IT! This show is so good that I don't think it matters who is in it, you'll still love it. I just saw the National Tour cast in Boston and it was WONDERFUL!

(Matthew Broderick's singing got on my nerves after a while, but I guess he sang that way to play a high-pitched nerdy kind of guy.)I loved the music and dancing too-everything fit nicely. I can't comment on other casts, but I'd certainly recommend this show.

Producers are in negotiations with the two stars and therefore tickets are only being sold through December 28th. If Nathan and Matthew come back they will more than likely start on December 31st.
A certain newspaper columnist that we all love so much announced yesterday that they were coming back and that tickets went on sale yesterday which caused a long line of more than likely disgrunted ticket buyers at the St. James Theatre.

He also said he's pretty hopeful that they will sign and if all the kinks are worked out they will be returning sometime around January and stay until around March. And that it will be anounced when things are definate and people will have time to get their tickets.
