I was just thinking the other day...I can not wait to see what is done differently...or even kept the same for this production! Scene six of Gypsy has always been one of my faves! Its such a hysterically funny scene and to see Bernadette( who has one of the greatest sense of humor of almost anyone I know) I just can't wait to see it!
I have a feeling Scene 6 will just get so many laughs ( if this production sticks closely to the script) - like the part when Louise's alarm clock is going off( on the day of her Birthday) and she pretends not to hear it and says " was that the alarm?" and Yonkers responds, " No, it was your mother singing! Shut up!" I'm sorry, but that just cracks me up!! Another part of the scene that has always made me laugh is when Mr. Kringelein storms up to Rose's room and sees all the animals and people in her room and demands she get rid of them all and she tells him that he'll have to throw her out and calls him an "animal hater" and to send for the "SPCA"-- Coming from Bernadette, a huge animal lover and activist, I just imagine it being so funny!!And towards the end of the scene when Rose sings MR. GOLDSTONE...that is very very funny as well! Ok, I'm done ranting now...haha

| posted: 3/12/2003 at 8:09:51 AM ET It's really pathetic how much I am looking foward to this You woud think I was in the show the way I'm getting nervous about the first performance and a happy feeling at the mere mention of Gypsy. Someone at my job mentioned they have tickets to see it...I didn't even get into a detailed discussion about it (like I normally would), but I just got this great feeling like "Yeah, this person will get to see a great show and a great leading lady!"
It's hard to explain
