Scottie, What scene are you referring to in The Last Best Year? I'm not placing it.

Eating a lot of canteloupe is a great way to keep your skin healthy too. Canteloupe is full of Vitamin A....which is why I eat a lot of it, lol. I'm a little obsessed with keeping my skin looking as young as possible. I'm 27, and people who just meet me still think I'm 17 or 18!!! I'm hoping that trend keeps up....I don't want to end up Botox Barbie!

I'm 104 and sunbathe every day of my life - I even sleep in a sun-bed at night. I chain smoke and consume copiuos amounts of gin, whisky, wine etc. But thanks to my naturally good genes and a daily breakfast of Vitamin A packed canteloupe I still only look 15 years old. Do I get the prize?

off topic, but does anyone have a picture of bernadette's parents? i am just curious to see what they look like. i have never seen a really good picture of them before. if any are posted on this site, i am too lazy to look.
thanks if anyone knows. i want to see where their daughters get such amazing looks!

Don't know of any online but I've seen a picture in an article of Bernadette when she was about 20 with her parents. The picture I saw was not great but my humble opinion is that their mother has more striking (severe) features which both daughters have inherited but their father is kind of an average (non-descript) looking person and I think his features sort of balanced out and softened their mother's features. So I would say they look like both their parents in a way. Though probably upon first comparing, you would say they look more like their mother for the reasons I've stated above.

I remember seeing an old picture of her parents (wedding picture maybe) on that "Inside the Actor's Studio" interview she did too, but they flashed it pretty briefly. My recollection is that her mother looked a LOT like Bernadette (and her sister) and I can't really remember what her father looked like except that he was reasonably attractive.
Oh and another reason I think she looks young is because she's short, that always helps, I'm short too and I was still mistaken for a teenager well into my 30's.
And Scottie, good on ya for lookin' so great with your lifestyle! Just think how fantastic you'd look if you avoided the sun and all those vices.
