It's under "B", she's interviewed with Mary Louise Wilson.
In the beginning of the interview, the interviewer makes out like Bernadette is going through a really hard time...what happen? Best wishes Bernadette!

From: Chicago, Il | posted: 6/11/2007 at 11:23:24 AM ET I was watching Bernadette's interview on the red carpet. Now I'm not really a computer whiz so I don't know how to post a website link. Anyway, to see her interview you go to tonyawards.com, then newsroom, then video library. Under the B section click Red Carpet: Bernadette Peters and Mary Loiuse Wilson.
In the beginning, when he is interviewing Bernadette he asks how is she doing after an emotional time. Does anyone know what that emotional time is? If someone can answer this that would be great. Thanks!!

I don't think the interviewer was talking about her husband because he made it sound as if it was all very recent. And if he was talking about her husband, then shame on him for bringing it up, especially while she's being filmed.

If so, how totally fabulous. Sorry to repeat myself, but my abiding dream is to hear Bernadette sing those wonderful songs of the 30s 40s and 50s ... an album of such songs would be great but a whole set of "songbooks" (Ella Fitzgerald-like) would be just wonderful. It would be so nice if she threw in one or two Coward songs as well - dear old Noel wrote many beautiful songs with such brilliant lyrics --- all tailor made for the considerable interpretative talents of Ms Peters.
Anyhow, it all sounds far more inspiring than the "jazz" album that was mentioned previously.
as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

It's not quite two years since he was killed-not that long ago. I think it's apparent he was referring to her husband, and that that was what she was responding to...saying that you put one foot in front of the other, even though your body and emotions don't want to go forward, but that you have to is something that many people who have lost a spouse/significant other say (or a variation of) when asked such a question.
(When they're too "polite" to say, "How do you think I am feeling?")
