Just wanted to add my 2 cents to the discussion about why Bernadette seems to have cleared her calendar for April. April is conveniently the month before May (I know, I'm a fountain of knowledge) which is sweeps time in TV land. Does anyone think that Bernadette might be returning to Law and Order: SVU for sweeps? Maybe a story line that continues through several episodes throughout May? A girl can at least dream.

I'd like to think that Bernadette has cleared her calendar for April so that she can hang out with me on my birthday.....or not.
But seriously, mojul's "sweeps theory" is a good guess, and I hope it's true. The more Bernadette on tv the better, and it's a bonus if she's on a great show like "Law and Order."

Since the concerts before and immediately after NY still seem to be on, maybe Nashville's rescheduling and NY's cancellation are unrelated. Perhaps short advance notice and poor advertising meant difficulty filling the 4,300 seat Grand Ole Opry House so that concert was rescheduled for June and in a smaller venue. Maybe the NY cancellation means she will be doing a limited run in NY and the producers didn't want her performing in the area four to six months before the opening. I've heard of exclusive concert engagements like that but don't know if that would apply to actors in shows.
