Audiences may be conflicted about the mixed messages the concert is giving, but they are seeing something very special, that goes way beyond the usual "entertainment".

Oh, doesn't she do a fantastic performance of that number? If and when she does record that standards CD, I hope she still includes it.
All of you are making me remember the Houston concert...

From Internet Network: 24.184.97.x | posted: 10/16/2005 at 10:48:08 AM ET I was watching from the last row with binoculars. The concert was beautiful, although her pain was evident on her face throughout. She was beautiful, too, but the sadness in her face and movements was apparent. In time, perhaps a long time, her glorious spark will return, but regardless, I think whenever she performs, she'll be sharing her priceless gift with her audiences. I hope she felt all the love that was there at Tilles Center for her last night.

From: New York, NY | posted: 10/16/2005 at 1:59:18 PM ET Also,I was walking back to my friend's dorm on campus at CW Post (home to the Tilles Center) and saw the stage door. Marvin came out, and recognized me (which I didn't expect). I decided to stay and see Bernadette, but I stood back a little, because I didn't want her to think I was there for an autograph or anything, I just wanted to say thank you (which I didn't, because I froze up as usual). It was the first time I ever saw her walk directly from the door to her car. She looked over at me and said "Hello." I said hello back, and she gave the few of us there a heartfelt smile and got into the limo with a few other people (Donna one of them). One lady did walk up to the limo after Bernadette was already in, and asked for an autograph. I saw Bernadette nod her head yes in the most amazing way, and she signed for the woman while sitting in the limo. She never quits. I love her.

Registered: 5/3/2004 | posted: 10/16/2005 at 5:02:21 PM ET This is really uplifting that she has chosen to "move on" so beautifully. The concert sounds incredibly touching and I hope Bernadette knows the love and support we all have for her, especially at such a rough time.

Bernadette went back to work, like others must do after a loss. She was likely on autopilot as someone said (probably why the Cubby comment stayed in).
Bless her. She got through the hardest part -- mentioning her husband's death -- then moving on. She has great strength of character.

Registered: 5/8/2003 | posted: 10/17/2005 at 3:06:11 PM ET She is my inspiration. I'm having a tough time in rehearsals for my show, and Bernadette is helping me get through it. If she could do what she did the other night, I sure as heck can make it through some tedious rehearsals. Bernadette never ceases to inspire me. I love her so much.

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 10/17/2005 at 10:35:43 PM ET Just wanted to add my thanks for the concert reports. I think it's especially nice that some of you made a special effort to attend. Since I couldn't get there, I know it made me feel better knowing that some of Bernadette's most devoted fans would be there pulling for her and cheering her on in person.
Also I noticed Faithless Love isn't listed. Did she drop that one too?
