| posted: 1/28/2005 at 10:17:06 AM ET This might be the same commercial that was mentioned before by Sister Rose, I believe. I think it is running on PBS and has some theme to do with Into the Woods and bedtime stories.

From: NYC | posted: 1/28/2005 at 10:36:46 AM ET It's definitely the same commercial. The NY, NY PBS station WNET told me that it started here but will begin running nationally on some PBS stations. I asked them for a link so you could all see it, but they don't have one. It's a great commercial.

| posted: 1/28/2005 at 7:05:24 PM ET I saw the commercial. It was really funny. My mom was taping a special on PBS and she fell asleep while she was watching it. She woke up and saw Bernadette on TV and started yelling at me that I took her tape out to watch Bernadette until we both realized that it was a commercial and had a good laugh about it.

| posted: 1/29/2005 at 12:33:15 AM ET Well I saw the commercial. Very cute and I love that Bernadette is identified as the representative of Broadway and theater. I mean there are probably several people that could have been used but I think she was the best choice.

Saw it Saturday night, though I didn't know that's what it was seeing until she popped up.

Click on the "Bedtime" video (for December 2004).
From inc.com:
"One of December's picks, a PBS commercial called "Bedtime," features a father reading Little Red Riding Hood to his daughter. During the story, various PBS personalities show up in the bedroom to offer their versions of the story, including Bernadette Peters, Jim Lehrer, Norm Abrams, the cartoon character Arthur, and more. Each version hints to the program each represents. Jim offers news on the wolf, Norm offers advice on doors and deadbolts that would have kept the wolf out, etc. In one fell swoop, PBS advertised a handful of programs in a 60-second spot. Pretty effective -- and a pretty efficient use of 60 seconds."
