And it wasn't until the final curtain calls when the performers names are listed that I realized a horrible and inevitably embarassing mistake I made last December....
It was after an evening performance of Gypsy that I attended and I was waiting at the stage door, like most people do. When Kate Reinders came out, one of the things I mentioned to her was "...how much I loved you in Into the Woods! It's constantly in my DVD player."
Fast forward to last night when, to my complete and utter horror, I realize that the Little Red Riding Hood on the DVD is NOT played by Kate Reinders. (I figured maybe she'd lost some weight as the years progressed) So I've been repeatedly smacking myself all day over what a complete FOOL I made of myself several months ago and didn't even REALIZE it!

You may have made the mistake because Kate was in the revival cast. She was the original Cow but had to bow out before the show started because she could not physically handle the role - they needed someone much stronger - and the role went to Chad Kimball. I believe Kate understudyed the role of Little Red and maybe went on a couple of times.

Some People....
If Bernadette Lazzara hadn't become an actress, what might she have done?
Bernadette:I don't know. Probably shot herself! (Laughs)

Registered: 5/3/2004 | posted: 7/16/2004 at 11:55:43 AM ET Into the Woods was my first Broadway show ever... i loved it. it's one of my faves. I saw the revival with Vanessa Williams. She is NOTHING obviously comparped to Bernadette. I don't understand how anyone could fill her role in the show ever. She's so amazing in it and so moving.
Btw, do you mean the Lament when she is singing to Rapunzel: "stay with me, i am home, who out there could love you more than i, stay with me..." ?
it's so beautiful that song. All the songs are... particularly when Bernadette performs them.

I stole mine from a friend in high school who ended up getting me hooked on Bernadette. lol But I've seen copies at Borders, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, you name it. It shouldn't be too difficult to find.
Hope you're doing well! And yes I still think you have some resemblance of Bernadette.
