For those who have SIRIUS satellite radio looks like Bernadette will be a guest on a program called Broadway's Best. Here's the description from the website:

Bernadette Peters & Gypsy
5/30 (3 pm ET):
After a 14-month run, the legendary musical Gypsy closes today after 451 performances. The show’s star, the one and only Bernadette Peters, takes host Seth Rudetsky backstage for an intimate behind-the- scenes last look at the great Jule Styne/Stephen Sondheim musical.

*Does* anyone here have Sirius? Is it worth looking into? I have no interest in commercial radio, and I'm not a big fan of the all-day talk format that many NPR stations now have.

From what I have figured out, if you go the link above, I think it is possible to listen to a live stream of the BP interview at 3 PM on Sunday. You can get a free guest pass to Sirius, so I am guessing it is totally possible to hear this?!

I don't know if they archive the interviews though for listening, so if anyone does listen at 3PM Sunday, could you fill those of us in who won't be near the computer ?

Also on a separate note, if you go to NPR.org and type in Bernadette Peters on the site's search engine you can listen to archived interviews of her on Morning Edition and All Things Considered. I think there are 4 different interviews. Good stuff!

Okay. I'll bite. How is Bernadette going to be giving a backstage tour at the same time that her final performance in Gypsy is starting? yes, I know it will obviously not be live but what a poor time to put it on the radio. I wonder if they repeat programs.

I signed up for a guest pass so I could listen, but seems the time for the broadcast is now 7pm ET today.

It just started now I think. It seems like they are going through the Gypsy cd and then asking Ms. Peters questions.

This didn't turn out to be much although it was sort of amusing to listen to Bernadette talking with someone so hyper. Has anyone gone to one of Rudetsky's Chatterbox things? I was thinking of ordering some, but was wondering if he talks a mile a minute during those too.

yes Seth is hard to handle. And best be taken in small doses. On his chatterbox show, you can hear it each work on broadwayworld.com radio, he constantly innterupts performers while they are answering his questions and gets annoying pretty fast. But he's sometimes entertaining, nonetheless.
