Did anyone in here actually see BP in the original 1974 production of "Mack & Mabel"?

I was curious because I believe that in that play, the Mabel character (along with pretty much the rest of the cast) is required to take a pie in the face. Is this something Bernadette really would've been willing to do night after night after night?

(The play was considered a flop at the time, but still ran for 69 showings. If it had been a hit, she might've had to take *hundreds* of pies in her lovely face....)
