What seems to be happening is that her voice is changing, which is kind of normal for a singer that age (not that she's old, but for a singer there's kind of a turning point).Let me know how you found her at Radio City.
And yes, she's a belter (to answer the last posts), but she was still able to go as high as a soprano, keeping a colour that didn't make the notes sound that high, and I can tell you, every soprano in the world would kill to get that colour one day (me included!). Maybe it makes you feel like she doesn't go very high, but I can assure you she does, and if she is in fact loosing her highs (please God, have mercy!) she's gonna have to change a lot of her repertoire.

Hi- I've seen BP in concert more than a dozen times over the last 15 years, most recently April 6th in Costa Mesa, but when I'm at Radio City on June 19th, I may be holding my breath through some of the numbers because like you I'm concerned about her voice in general. It seems like in Costa Mesa, she didn't belt a lot of the notes she normally does or hold others very long (maybe she knew they wouldn't sound that great?). I'm not sure what's going on. I would hate to think she was losing those wonderful shades and textures, how her voice could be warm and husky or sweet and pure and sooo expressive. -- K.C.

Has anyone seen her in concert recently, who could reassure me about the state of her voice? Because as much as I adore her, as a singer myself, I couldn't help wondering, listening to the last CD, if she was not beginning to loose her high notes. I know it would be normal, but I hoped that with the wonderfull technical training she's donne on her voice, she could keep them a little bit longer... Thanks a lot in advance for trying to be objective about it
