It was definitely Frances Ruffelle, and she does sound similar to Bernadette, but Bernadette is better.

I don't think Lea Salonga played Eponine in the ORIGINAL Broadway cast, but she did play Eponine. It's someone else...I'm not quite sure who..I heard some name like Frances Ruffle or something like that, who played the original Eponine. ....someone please reply if my information is incorrect...

I am sure Bernadette Peter's has sung that song at one time or another. I don't think she ever played the part of broadway, though. I think that you are listening to the actual broadway recording and you hear that the voice sounds similar but its not her. Its whoever played the part at the time.

Ms. Peters, but ... She had never done such a song, nobody knows about it. The voice is similar, but its not her!?!
