Hi!

I've been reading a lot on here about "Annie Get Your Gun" opening on Feb. 20
and Bernadette not being there because she has a solo show to do... Well,
according to my newspaper, "AGYG" opens on March 4th. So maybe Bernadette
will be there opening night after all... Just wondering: Where did you all
find out that "AGYG" opens Feb. 20?

To respond to my own post... I just checked Ticketmaster Online. They list
both a matinee and an evening performance (2:00pm and 8:00pm) for "Annie Get
Your Gun" on February 20th. I didn't check the 2:00pm performance but there
are seats as close as Orchestra Row H for the 8:00 show. I checked March 4th
which is the day when Newsday said that "AGYG" was opening. They list one
showing that day - 6:30 pm. There are NO seats left for this performance. It
is sold out. Now, it seems to make more sense that the opening night of a
show is sold out, right? It doesn't make sense if the show were to open on
the 20th (there wouldn't be two shows in one day) and it would be sold out by
now. It also wouldn't make sense for Bernadette not to be there for opening
night since she has another show... SO, opening night is not February 20th...
it's March 4th.

AGYG opens on February 20th. Your newspaper is wrong. And she will be there,
she will not miss opening night.
I can't say whether concerts at other points during the run will be kept... I
would imagine that some would be. At any rate, I'll be sure not to get AGYG
tickets on those nights....

there's a great commercial they've apparently been running in DC that you can
watch)

The commerical is kinda crappy, I think, to tell you th truth. I've seen it
here. (I'm in MD) and it really isn't that great. It's kinda cheesy, and I've
only seen it on once since opening preview.

i too am responding to my own post... lol

now that i think about it, feb 20 is the first preview. march 4 could very
well be the opening night. but i don't think it's likely she'll miss the 1st
preview AT ALL

well, on the computer it made me want to see the show. I actually went "that
looks like a good show," don't ask why, since they didn't show any footage
from the show, and she sang for a good 10 seconds, and I HATE AGYG. but that
does say something, doesn't it?

Previews begin at the Marquis Theatre on Feb 2nd... not the 20th... So, if the
concert on the 20th is still on then I HIGHLY DOUBT that Feb 20 is opening
night... especially since there are tickets left..

Here are the facts:

FEB 20:
Good seats still left
- If this is opening night WHY are there still seats left? Since when are
seats
(especially good seats) for opening nights of Broadway musicals (starring
huge theatre icons like Bernadette) available.
Bernadette has a scheduled concert not in the New York area

MARCH 4:
SOLD OUT
- Doesn't it make more sense for this to be opening night
since this show is sold out???
So far no one's said anything about a concert that night

Tim,
The comment you were responding to agreed with your statement... there was
no real need for you to offer more proof.
