See headers | I recently got "Anyone Can Whistle in Concert" and "Bernadette-Live
at Carnagie Hall" For Christmas. I hate to say anything against
Bernadette, but I don't think that she made a very good Fay.
Bernadette needs songs that she can belt, and Fay is not a belting
role. "Live at Carnagie Hall" made me absolutely sure that
Bernadette should be Rose in "Gypsy!" That is definately a belter''s
role!

See headers | I know what you mean about the Fay thing. At first I didn;t think she was a
great Fay, and I still don't think she's PERFECT for that role, but she does
the best she can with it, and besides it's for a good cause. She also isn't
horrible at it, she's good. I'm sure she had lots of fun doing it. I do,
however, love how she sings the songs, expacially, "There's Always A Woman",
"With So Little to be Sure Of", and "See What it Gets You".
But, to tell you the truth, I don't neccessarily think she needs a belting
role to be good. She can belt (technically, she's not belting. She's
actually pushing from the abdomen. If she were belting all these years, she
wouldn't have a voice because every time you belt, your throat bleeds.) but
she can also just sing beautifully. She has the power to reach people with
either belting or just singing, and she knows the appropraite times to use
them.
Just my opinioon
Noelle
P.S. This was not an attack on your comment, just my opinion.

See headers | I don't have the equipment to make a copy, I got it from a friend. And I
don't think he'd appreciate me giving his name out on the net, sorry.
