Hi everyone my name is Toby and I'm from the UK,

I've been a fan of Bernadette now since the mid-80's. The first time
I really heard her was on the Mack & Mabel cast album, following the
Torvill & Dean ice dance routine to the M & M overture. Since that
time I've been a great fan of her work.

Unfortunately, everytime she's been in the UK I've either been ill or
out of the country or too busy to go and see her which is a constant
source of frustration!

Anyhow, I don't know what you Bernadette collectors have got in the
way of rare recordings, but I'd imagine you've got most of the things
I have. Put them on Napster anyway if there are any unofficial/Live
things as it's always nice to hear something different. I've got
Bernadette in the original production of "La Strada"
singing "Seagull, Starfish, Pebble" - I believe it's an audience tape
or a rough rehearsal one and although it's not fantastic quality
obviously, her voice and the lyrics are pretty clear. I've also got
her singing "One Person" (from Snoopy!) and "Applejack" (the Dolly
Parton song) from the Muppet Show. I've got a bit of "Take a Little
One Step" (No, No, Nanette) from the Muppets as well but that's
incomplete.

My problem is transferring them to MPEG format. It's simple enough
getting them onto mini disc, but my sound recorder function on my
computer is faulty. I do have an audio CD recorder, but sometimes not
all the tracks I've recorded will convert into MPEG format after I've
transferred from MD to CD. I will post them on Napster if I can
folks, but don't hold your breath! Oh and I think I've got Bernadette
singing "let Me Sing and I'm Happy" (Jolson song) from one of the big
hollywood tribute nights from the eighties and a few other things.

Anyhow, I enjoy reading all the posts - keep those unusual recordings
going on Napster before the thng is shut down!! I also envy all of
you going to the concert!!!

Best wishes, Toby.
