Hey, people!

Rumor has it (I say "rumor" because I don't know if it's true) that
Bernadette has confirmed GYPSY in London for 2001, and that she will take the
show to Broadway in 2002.

Are we excited now? We should be!

Right now, Bernadette is in Hawaii with her Michael! I bet they're having a
wonderful time! Good for them--they both need a vacation!

Thanks,
Chris

That's cool, I just hope she isn't stuck doing revivals of old shows for the
rest of her career now. We've all heard her belt out "Some People" so I know
she'll be great in this!! ~eric

LOL....I have a feeling Bernadette will never be "stuck" doing anything she
doesn't want to do! She seems to make strong choices, and I am sure she will
be wonderful in anything that she does....as usual!!

I know this opinion is nothing new, but I'm not sure Bernadette is right for
the role. To me, she is too adorable to play someone forceful and driven
like Rose Hovic. I have no doubt that she could sing it, of course.

Well people said the same thing about Annie Oakley...and i have to agree with
you actually but it's all about who's going to bring in the big bucks at the
box office now. We'll see how it works...

Yeah, Bernadette would probably have been fabulous if she ever got to go on
for Dainty June when she was a kid, or if she had been one of the strippers
later, but I think this part will test her acting skills a little more than
anything else. I don't mind so much casting her as Rose for the business, but
I hope it's not solely based on "Some People" and doing an Ethel role.

Be sure: I will travel to London too, for it's much nearer to me than
New York (it's not really cheaper, anyhow...)... I've never seen
Bernadette live on stage before, and well, I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!!!
