Really? I could've sworn he got that wrong. I'm gonna check my tape again.
I really can't stand him though.

I think they're fantastic, and I'm 25 years old:-) (Oh, yeah, I guess I fall into the 'ancient Bernadette fan' category in this group, as well;-). I ended up picking up the first one while visiting a friend for the weekend, and fell in love with the series. Then again, I enjoy the subject, too.

Good! I despise harry Potter! My school had some lady come out and "Tell

It was torture! She was scarey! NOT A FUN TIME WASTING ASSEMBLY! Oh my
gosh... there is nothing else to say! I just -- cant read those books!

Hahaha, my friend Lannie is on this list (at least I THINK she still is) and
we were talking in English class and this jerk was like "I hate to Kill A
Mockingbird, I didn't read the end of it cause I have moral oppositions to
it now" and I was like "Yea, and I have moral oppositions to Harry Potter
books" :) I still don't read them though, they sound really.... can't think
of a good word to use w/out insulting anyone :)

Well, if you've never read them, there's really not a word you *can* use:-).

Witchcraft is a subject of interest of mine, so I'm pretty much enthralled by the Harry Potter books:-). What are the Berlin Stories about?

There's 2 parts, the second part is what the musical Cabaret is based on,
the first is a prequel to it. It's really good, early WWII stuff

Did you know they black list the haryr Potter books in
a lot of schools because of the witch craft and
wizardry? I find that ridiculous, just another
barrier in getting kids to turn off the computer and
tv and open a book

At my school, they had Catcher in the Rye black listed for a while, as well
as the diary of anne frank. How stupid is that?

I can understand "Catcher" A LITTLE, that book is a classic that I think
everyone should read but I can see how the school boards would think the
language was a little too bad. -eric

I kind of think it's silly to black list anything. How can you expect kids
to become open minded adults who understand their own thoughts if you won't
allow them to explore different things and open new doors to their mind,
which allows them to decide whether they agree with them or not.
