Does anyone know whether any of Bernadette's current albums have gone
gold (I'm guessing they probably didn't go platinum)...just wondering?

I searched the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) web site.
RIAA is the association that certifies albums gold, platinum, multi-platinum,
etc. Unfortunately, there were no BP albums listed. :-( I also searched to
see if "Sunday In The Park With George," "Into The Woods," or "Song & Dance"
were certified gold or platinum because they are three of Bernadette's most
famous shows. They weren't listed either. That was very surprising because I
thought for sure that "Sunday In The Park With George" must've sold AT LEAST
500,000 copies since it was such a hit on Broadway and since it is Sondheim's
most famous show. :-(

Oh, I finally got a copy of "Song & Dance." I bought the one-cd version
(which is titled "Bernadette Peters in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Song And Dance'
- The Songs") and has BP on the cover. It's wonderful. "Unexpected Song" and
"Tell Me On A Sunday" are unbelievable. Just a quick question: What is the
difference between the version that I have and the double-CD with the Blue
cover?

never heard of the double CD, and just a wild guess, but I think the single CD
is Song and Dance --The Songs, and the double cd has music from the dance part
of the show.

I would also bet that the double is a British recording. Just a guess - I've
never seen it myself.

Yes, the double CD is a British recording with Marti Webb, and it has both
the songs and the second act dance music!
