If people didn't enjoy "Cats" it wouldn't be such a long running show. Shows
are only on Broadway as long as there is public interest for them. If you
hate the show, fine, but keep it to yourself. Broadway is ruled by cash, and
all that cash comes from public interest. Maybe if more people had gone to
see "Chess" it would still be out there, and you would have nothing to
complain about.

By the way- aren't you supposed to put OT in the subject line if it isn't
Bernadette related?

else in this world, is ruled by cash..

True, it's cash that rules the Broadway shows, but the reason Cats was so
successful is two words: Family Friendly.
Of course, other shows were, too, I just can't think of any right now. BUt
for the most part, a lot of shows aren't, ahem, appropriate for families
with young children who are visiting New York and want to show their
children a musical that won't warp their little minds.
*note the heavy sarcasm, mixed with truth.*
So there you go, Children run the broadway skies.
