Has Lucci started "Annie" yet? I'd love to hear what you guys thought of
her. -Eric

Susan Lucci started the 27th, I think. I've heard mixed reviews: most said
they expected her to be much worse, so it was a pleasant-ish surprise,
although she had a flat-sounding voice. I am not planning to go and see
her myself, so I can't tell you much. Several television stations have
shown clips of her singing, all of which I missed.

(theatre.com article about Susan Lucci in the show)

I think Susan is probably a less than worthy replacement, and I wish they
would have just let Valerie Wright (Dolly/understudy Annie) and Karyn
Quackenbush (ensemble/standby for Annie & Dolly) do the role, as they are
the understudies. Or rather, probably Valerie doing the role, since Karyn
would fill in for Valerie. I'm sure the producers thought they wouldn't
rack in enough $$$, but Susan is not bringing in a far greater audience
than Valerie did. At least Valerie got to do a few performances before
Susan went on.

this question is for those who have seen Susan Lucci....Did she do the
swinging in the air when Annie surprises Frank with her routine that Charlie
and Buffalo Bill convinced her to do?

I spoke to a friend of mine who saw the show with Susan Lucci and that part of the show is still there. The stunt double that they used for Bernadette is just wearing a different color wig so that she looks like Susan.

I haven't seen her, but I'd have to say no... Bernadette didn't do it, why
would they make Susan Lucci?
