See headers | Well... first off I feel horrible for Bernadette!! Myself being the queen of
the ear infections when I was a kid, I can sympathize.
Anyhow, I saw the show Dec.23, and Valerie was wonderful! Since I can only
assume most of the people coming to see Susan bailed, the box seats were
available as were a bunch of front row seats. First act I grabbed a box
seat, second act I went for the front row.
I was about two feet away from everyone, which was SO cool! And the audience
was half dead. I, on the other hand, have seen the show so many times that I
was laughing before they told the jokes. Tom Wopat looked right at me and
almost smiled, and Gregory Zaragoza really did smile. It absolutely made my
day!!
Anyhow, Valerie was great. She has a wonderful voice and it's too bad Dolly
doesn't sing anything. I think her wig is probably easier to mimic than
Bernadette's is, too. All in all I'm very glad I got to see her perform.
I'm STILL sorry I missed Susan though.
Okay, I'm done now ;0)
