See headers | The audition for "evita" went okay. The accompaniest sucked and could
not play my music to save his life! (I sang "everything's coming up
roses" from Gypsy) I basically ignored what he was playing and belted
out the song. It was good enough for a callback! I went to the
callback and totally rocked, except that 1 girl(who was understudying
the part in another city) couldn't be there, and got a private callback
3 days later... you can guess who got the part. I'm not as bitter about
it as I was. One guy that I met at the callback told me that I "have a
Bernadette Peters voice" Her said the quality of my voice was just like
hers! WOW! What a compliment! That was the highlight of the whole
experience! Thank you for asking! Your the best!

See headers | Someone once told me I had a Bernadette quality to my voice, too. HIGHLIGHT OF MY YEAR, folks! Of course, I see Bette Midler in concert this dec., so who knows, my highlight may change!!!!!!!!
