Sorry to dwell on this but I just talked to Bruce the
guy who runs A-M's official site and he just talked to
Roger Smith (A-M's husband/manager) and he says they
saw "AGYG" and were VERY impressed w/ Bernadette and
the show and it looks likely that Ann-Margret will be
doing the 10 month national tour of the show. I'm SO
excited, I know a lot of you probably have trouble
picturing her as "Annie" but just wait...:) -Eric

I really really really really really can't see this. At all. Ann-Margret
just doesn't have the voice for it. Not that she has a bad voice at all, she
has a great voice but it just doesn't suit this role. She reminds me of
Tallulah Bankhead... she has that quality where you just want to hear her say
DAAAHHLING. And, also, she's in her 50s and unlike Bernadette, you can tell
that Ann-Margret is in her 50s. And remember the REAL Annie Oakley was quite
young (younger than 50).

I have to disagree totally, if you are judging
Ann-Margret's voice on "Bye Bye Birdie" or her
musicals, you shouldn't. I've got copies of her tv
specials and bootlegs of Vegas shows and Ann-Margret
CAN belt out a song like the best of them...believe it
or not. And also, Ann-Margret looks nowhere close to
her age (58), when's the last time you saw her? Age
really does not matter that much on stage, at all
really...just wait, I mean I am having trouble seeing
her in the cowboy outfit and stuff too but I know she
can carry ANYTIHNG off...she's done it before. -Eric
