See headers | OK.... I was just thinking about people who could play "Annie Oakley" when
Bernadette leaves... How about Jewel? She definitely has the voice for it.
I've seen her twice on her tour - once two years ago when she was still
promoting "Pieces of You" and this year in July on her "Spirit" world tour.
She puts on an amazing show. I doubt if she would even be considered but hey
it's a thought!

See headers | I've seen Jewel in concert too, and her shows are amazing. I don't think she
could pull off Annie Oakley though. She's a strong woman, but every time I
see her I always think of how delicate she looks. I don't think Annie should
be so soft. Though there are some parts in the show where she is a bit
refined, the whole story is kind of based on the fact that she's a tomboy
("You Can't Get A Man With a Gun," "I Can Do Anything You Can Do Better. .
.").
It's fun to think of people that could fit right in there though. What about
Kristen Chenoweth? or Sarah Jessica Parker (though with her HBO show she
could never really do it)

See headers | I did think that Jewel was good in "The Wizard of Oz," but Dorothy is a
totally opposite character to Annie in almost every way (believe me- I know
"Wizard" inside and out- we're studying it in school). Plus, Annie needs to
be a belter- definitely a BIG Broadway voice.
