See headers | Does anyone live in the Dallas area?? If so, do you know when the concert
will air?? Because it's not listed on the date given on the PBS website which
i believe was August 7...and it wasn't on. And the local cable guide that is
sent in the paper every month said it would be aired August 8 at 8:30 pm.
However, the weekly cable guide didn't have it listed and it wasn't aired so
i have no clue when or if it will be on...anyone know? thanks

I'm in Ft Worth, and I thought I missed it. But do I actually KNOW anything?

ok...I called KERA (the local PBS station) and they said it will be on August
15 at 8:30 pm.

See headers | I am so left out of the Whole concert thing. I already HATE where I live
cause there isn't enough cultural events around town, but the stupid PBS
station here said "so we don't disrupt our usual programming we aren't going
to have and august drive, the concert MIGHT be taped and played for our
December drive" I HATE RICHMOND VIRGINIA!!!! Ok I'll live. thankfully my
aunt lives in DC and is taping it for me.I'm glad everyone says it so good.
Even though I'm DYING about not being able to see it now, I'm looking foward
to it even MOre!!
OH does Anyone KNow if the Tape that comes out in October will have the
songs that weren't on the PBS version??

friends (also Bernadette Peters fans) watch the concert and they agree that
after Unexpected Song when she turns away for a second that she looks like
she's in pain. Does anyone agree? I was thinking maybe it kinda hurt to hit
that last note..I know that's happened to me before. What do you think?

I never noticed that... but if she does make a face like that, I doubt it's
the note.... she's so well trained, I doubt a note that really isn't high (a
G) and sounded well placed would hurt her.
personally, i hate singing that song b/c singing a G while your mouth makes
an "ing" shape is irritating as hell :o)

See headers | OT, but shoshanna, if you want to know the trick for singing "ing's" really
high, put your jaw back, cheeks high, just try it. The resonance is
outstanding! Oh, don't forget to take a deep breath and open your mouth.
Try it soft at first, then gradually increase the volume by sucking in your
stomach. I know, it's alot to remember, but if you're curious, it's
something to try (when no one's at home to hear you, of course).

thanks for the tip :o) I actually used to have a lot of trouble but i've
figured out how to place it and stuff now, it's fine. but it is a bitch till
you figure it out!
