The Concert. Wow. It was AMAZING! AMAZING!! AMAZING!!! And that doesn't
even do it justice. My favourite moments: "No One Is Alone," "Not A Day
Goes By," "Being Alive" (The best I've seen her do this! I love the
ending!), "Move On" (I'll NEVER get sick of this song. Ever.), and "The Way
You Look Tonight."

I also thought it was adorable when Bernadette was like "And she's writing a
letter to her 'Mum'... while holding a microphone." And when she asks the
London crowd: "How's my accent? OK?"

The only part of the show that I didn't like much was "Later." I loved the
concept of Bernadette and the cellist, and I loved the way she acted out the
song and the way the two played off each other. But the SONG. Yuck. Sorry,
just my own personal opinion. Didn't like the song one bit at all.

But "Being Alive!" WOW! The ending went faster than on the "Sondheim, Etc."
CD and the "Hey Mr. Producer" CD....and I loved it. So powerful and amazing.
NO ONE can sing this song like Bernadette...well, maybe I can... LOL. Just
kidding of course.

When's this video going to be out in stores? Anyone know?

it's one of my favorite songs... however... despite the fact that she
sounded PHENOMINAL, the song should not be sung by a woman, and to be honest,
maybe it shouldn't be sung out of context. it's fantastic within the show
(and within the other 3 songs.... it's actually part of the 10 minute
sequence "now/later/soon")

I have to agree with all of it except for "Later", I
LOVED it! The beginning of the song kind of dragged
but I thought it was great!!! I loved the "how's my
accent" line too!
I also like when she does the pose for the two
different album covers, she did that in
Nashville...that's one thing about Bernadette in
concert she uses the same old jokes lol. I pretty much
knew what she was going to say before every song in
Nashville and on the London tape, but that's okay
because she still makes them funny each time I hear
them! -Eric

Loved that too!

I also loved after "You Could Drive A Person Crazy," when she goes over to
the little mirror and checks her lipstick and then "freshens up." Classic!

I AGREE!!! I am going to marry this show!! (sorry, it's an expression of
mine. I don't expect you all to get it.) ANYWAY IT WAS SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!
EVERY SINGLE SONG WAS AWESOME! I was crying during a bunch of them (Not A
Day Goes By in particular... WOW was that something) I just don't even know
how to express how much I love bernadette peters!!! I love her more than my
brother (but he's a loser. That's not saying much.)
Do you guys think Bernadette reads her fanmail? Is it even worth writing
her? I'm trying to decide..

<g> I was waiting for her to pose for the album cover where she's mostly
naked and blond. She didn't though.

I am trying to decide whether or not to write her too. I wonder if she
(and I guess all famous people) know how easily they could make or break
someone's day...I was just thinking about that when she got out of her
car looking kind of angry.

Bernadette definitley reads her fan letters. She even wrote back to me and
included a signed picture.

You will not get a personal response. I know from experience... a month
later you'll get a signed picture...

To be honest, I was upset. Any response is lovely, but I just would have
liked it to be the slightest bit personal. As it is, I sense that she was
handed a stack of photos, signed them, and gave them back... to add to that
idea, there's ink from the picture mine was placed on top of on the back of
mine. I understand she's busy, but I still felt slighted

She may read the mail... but if you want a real response, you'll be let
down, and it may be smarter not to write

Really. You read stories about actors and actresses who are rude to their
fans. What the heck is the point of BEING an actor if not for the fans??!!
The money I guess.. Anyway I would love to be an actress when I grow up, and
if someone approaches me with stars in their eyes and something for me to
sign in their hand, well I'd be delighted!! I think it would be wonderful to
have complete strangers love you that much.

Just my take on things ;0)

Well, it would be cool, yeah. But to have a LOT of fans and have them all
expect something from you, well I'm sure it gets to be somewhat of a burden
at least some of the time. Just a thought.

I do agree. I don't know quite how to explain it, but a major part of why it
would pain me to not succeed is that as a child (and a teen) I have gotten so
much joy out of watching my favorite shows and performers, and to not be able
to give that to some other child will kill me. I would like to hope that if
I am ever fortunate enough to be successful I will read and respond to any
mail I receive, and not sneak out a different stage door.

I understand where some of the actors are coming from... Bebe Neuwirth is
extremely claustrophobic and can't go out the normal stage door unless it's a
very small crowd... I don't enjoy it, but would you rather she had an
attack? And some people have had incidents with frightening fans... I don't
know.

I recently graduated from high school, and for my girft my friend wrote all
the actors I admire who we were able to get in touch with (i.e. those in
shows at the time) tleling them that I admire their work and that it would
mean a lot to me to get a congratulatory note from them. Well... so far
I've gotten 5 responses, and I can tell you that I have SO much respect for
the 3 people who took time out of their exceedingly busy lives to write me.
The other 2... well... I appreciate a response, but I sincerely doubt the
response resulted from the actor actually reading my mail, and I almost wish
they hadn't responded at all... anything's nice, naturally, but getting a
signature on a numbered index card from judi dench, well... I laughed out
loud when it came. So beyond impersonal.....

I'm done now :o)

When did she get out of her car angry? Wonder what makes Bernadette ticked.
