I loved it!!!! That was the best 20 dollars I have EVER spent!! I thought
Ruthie Henshaw was excellent.. Especially as Fantine. Does Ellen Greene
really talk like that, or is she just good at faking it?!

And BOY can Bernadette sing the stuffing out of Being Alive or what? I
watched it a couple times!!

Oh yeah, I loved Stephen Sondheim and ALW's little number <g> Too cute!

Did I tell you guys that me and 2 friends lipsang to HEY Mr PRODUCER'S "You
Gotta Get a Gimmick" at drama awards this year? It was great, I played
Bernadette and had a real trumpet (which I faked blowing into), another
friend used 2 flashlights for the second woman, and my third friend wore this
elegant gown with a whispy scarf to swing around. UGH, not to sound
conceited, but I can not tell a lie, we were FABULOUS!
You guys would've gotten a kick out of it. (especially since I kept in
Bernadette's "Bump it with a trumpet" move ;-)

It's a video. I bought mine at the Learning Smith at the local mall, but
they have it at Sun Coast videos, and most big movie stores. You should
DEFINATELY get it!! It's wonderful... It's call Hey Mr. Producer and it's a
bunch of different performances of songs from musicals produced by Cameron
Macintosh I believe.

Sorry if someone allready said this.. not just Sun Coast, but Sam Goody's
has it too. My mom got me my copy at Sam Goody's... yay! And she bought me a
NEW Into the Woods (our old copy was watched so much it's kinda... not in
wonderful condition, plus one of my stupid cousins hit record while it was
in the VCR... grr!!!) there.... so anyone who DOESN'T have ITW go get it! :)
But I'm mad at Sam Goody's cuz mom bought me Sunday... and its completely
defective! Every like.. 5 minutes or less it automatically turns off the
VCR. In Finishing the Hat it did it like every 2 seconds! So, mom's taking
it back, and HOPEFULLY we'll get a GOOD one! heh... also mad at
www.VideoPremiere.com (which used to be www.VideoShoppers.com) because I
ordered Sunday... and A Little Night Music last AUGUST and STILL don't have
them, or any notification of them EVEN coming, or any knowledge on if I'm
gonna get my money back! Garrr!!! Okie, I'm done rambling about how I'm mad
at places...

Amy

Henshall. but yeah... she rocks

Ellen Greene, thankfully, doesn't really speak like that.

did anyone else really not like the Eliza Doolittle and the Nancy (Oliver)?

lol, sorry Henshall... anyway she was great. Did she ever actually play
Fantine??

I didn't like either of the people you mentioned too much, but the large
portion of the performances were WONDERFULLY done!

I have no idea, but I suspect yes... as she was the chosen Fantine for the
10th Anniversary Concert, I would assume she's played the role before. I
think she's just wonderful... looking forward to seeing her in Chicago
(she's currently Velma)

The place doesn't exist anymore...I ordered 6 videos over a year
ago....totallly got taken to the cleaners on that one, and from now on I am
sorta leary about online ordering from anything not Amazon.com

The place probably never charged your credit card if they didn't send the
videos. If you sent a check, they never cashed it.

If they took your money, they'd be breaking the law.

I know this is a stupid question as I've seen HEY MR PRODUCER on PBS as well as
own the CD, but is the video the whole thing (including Bernadette's "Unexpected
Song") or highlights? I'd like to see Bernadette's "Unexpected Song" since it
was not on the televised version.

Thanks so much!

Sincerely,
Chris

Shoshanna, the Eliza was BETTER than the Nancy but I didn't like either of
them. The woman playing Eliza had a really rough voice and didn't really fit
the part.
