I have something to ask that doesn't invovle Bernadette. But a lot of you
are in to acting and all that so I really would like youre opinions. Why do
people keep casting will Smith in movies???? Is it just me? I don't think
he's all that great, yet they keep putting him in movies. What do you guts

See headers | Money. Will Smith is a huge success (I don't know
why) and every movie he stars in makes MILLIONS and
MILLIONS of dollars! It's that simple. Plus they can
get him to perform on the soundtrack and it will be a
HUGE hit (if I hear "Wild Wild West" one more time
I'll shoot myself). Answer your question? :) -Eric

Actually Andy, I think Will is great! I mean, maybe he's not the greatest
actor, but he is a "clown". Like the class clown at my schools, someone
everyone loves to laugh at. He reminds me of a lot of kids at school.
Especially Germain (I know you all don't know who he is, but he is great fun)
He is always good for a laugh and I enjoy him. As for acting, I don't know
if I would call him a WONDERFUL brilliant actor, but he has an appeal. I
also respect him greatly for his love for his wife and son and how he raps
about good things and really is a great role model for people, especially
young people today. A great father and husband. That's my two cents.
Yours,
Noelle

See him in "Six Degrees of Separation" some time, he gave a very good
performance.

Well I'm the only teen in my school who hasn't got the "popular culture" bug,
but everyone seems to enjoy the fact that he cusses a lot and says dumb stuff
and blows things up ;0) I guess it all dates back to how much everyone loved
that show Fresh Prince of Bel Air... Just can't get enough of him ;0)

What I meant by my comparison was that they were both actors who had an
extremely wide audience appeal and were therefore very successful. I would
add that they were also both funny, but that's a matter of opinion.

is beyond me! At least Will Smith makes good movies! I have yet to see a
good Adam Sandler movie... and his latest doesn't look like it will be

Carrie, you're being a little strong aren't you? Yes, it is your opinion,
but there may be people on this list who love Adam Sandler. Now, personally
I'm not into people like Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, or even Mike Myers (I'm
ducking from all of the things being thrown my way. I know, shame, shame,
shame) I'm sorry. But I'm not going to critizie other peoples likes and
dislikes, it's their taste and they have a right to enjoy it. As for a good
movie Adam Sandler movie made, well, before I really knew who Adam Sandler
was, I went to see Happy Gilmore and let me tell you, I CRACKED UP! It was a
hilarious movie!! I had a great time. I remember enjoying every minute of
it. It was funny, I'm not going to lie to you. I may even go to that new
movie of his opening up, now that I think about it. Could be just as funny.
Something like "Big Daddy" it's called? But anyway, just my 2 cents. No
flames, please
Yours,
Noelle

that's too bad... sandler i can understand... i think he's very funny, but
he's just ridiculous (but billy madison is a great movie... "any attempts to
cheat, especially with my wife who is a dirty dirty tramp, and i will
probably just snap", and all his movies have steve buscemi which is just a
wonderful thing), but jim carrey honestly is a wonderful actor... i liked
him during his huge comedy days, but i really honestly respect him after
seeing the truman show (ok, fine, technically i'm in the middle of it at the
moment... it's a great movie that's been in my vcr for several days as i
watch bits and peices). i also happen to love mike meyers, he never fails to
amuse... that's my style. i like really random things...

I tell you, I was going to respond to that myself, but then I found that a
very rational, levelheaded response had already been made... thanks, Noelle.

What about The Wedding Singer? I really liked that.
My sister wants to see Big Daddy, but I'm not sure if I want to.
