See headers | I know this is late I didn't get online at all yesterday to check my email.
I was SOOOOOO Happy about her WINNING> Here's what happened
I was at my theatre awards banquet that started at 7:00 to say goodbye to
all my senior friends I was taping the PBS thing ( Melinda Email me I have
it for you) and I figured I'd be home in time for the Tonys . Well I didn't
Know there was gonna be a short skit and an awards cerimony ( I'm a freshman
How am I supposed to know) well the clock said 8:14 so I thought I was safe.
I was going to watch the skit and leave cause I didn't think that freshmen
won anything. Well after the skit was over I started to get up but then the
director of the dramam dept. got up and said " as you know Tonight are the
Tonys on CBS that honor people for their excellence in theatre, well tonight
are also going to be the tonys and Godwin"
" First there will be the award for best freshmen achievement in the
theatre" Well of course I wanted to hear this , all my friends and I
thought the Freshman class kiss up Robert was gonna get it and we were
already planning Jokes for him. Well then he said: since we have two drama I
teachers this year there will be one from each class" I then perked up a
little cause I was in 4 plays this year at school and I have the highest
average in my class ( NO I'M NOT BRAGGING OR ANYTHING hehehe )
Well my drama teacher Miss. Butler stood and began saying something alon
the lines of" This being my first year of teaching I was honored to have
someone in my class as passionate and dedicated to the theatre as I have in
my class " then she said a bunch aof other REALLY nice things and then" and
because of this person I will NEVER think of two word again Bernadette &
Stephen " at first I thought she had gotten BP's name wrong then I realized
she was talking about Stephen Sondheim, well everyone who Knew me and Knew
where I was sitting Turned and looked at me ( I've never one anything before
and she had said some REALLY nice things about me so I was a little teary
eyed) I waledup and got my certificate and present and gave her a big hug.
The other winner was Jamie Dalton the only other Freshman girl besides me
in Our musical .I COULDN'T leave after winning somehting withought looking
like the biggest ungrateful bitch who ever walked this earth. I kept look
ing at the clock as it krept closer and closer to 8:45 then the awards were
over, but SUPRISE!!!!! ALL 26 seniors were called up on stage to EACH give a
speech about what they loved/learned/regrets/funny memories about their past
4 years in drama.I CRIED LIKE A BABY FOR 2 REASONS it was so heart warming
watching them relive their high school memories but while they were doing
that I WAS MISSING THE TONYS ] \
I Ran out of their after it was over, doging congratulations hugs and thak
goodness my friend Daniel was there to drive me home. I raced upstairs
turned to CBS and hit RECORD on the VCR I waited and waited and waited ( I
had gotten home at 9:37 ) I was terrified that I had missed it I was crying
and I frantically called Noelle's house ( at 10:00 ) she reassured me that I
hadn't missed anything but " Ther's No business like shouw business" I was
SSSSSSSSOOOOOOO HAPPY !!!
Well FINALLY they came on and did the 2 other numbers and announced her
category, I was praying and My stomach did One flip[ but I knew she was
gonna win and they announced her name I screamed ( With 3 young children in
bed ) and balled from the second she started talking
After she was done I ran down stairs to tell my mom and her face was TEAR
STREAKED !!! she doesn't care for BP too much ( it hink that's cause she
sick of her) but she had been watchin g and BP's speech made her cry harder
than I was!!!!
I have told everyone I know about BP winning and I'm still walking on
clouds because of it.WOW I've written alot I'm just STILL So happy . I knew
she would do it

Congrats about being a winner!! I got Best Actress in Midsummer Night's
Dream and best supporting actress is Enter Laughing (our two plays this year)
I was ECCSTATIC!!!!
